Stars Welfare Society is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-political, and non-communal voluntary organization dedicated to serving humanity with compassion and dignity. Guided by the belief that every individual deserves an opportunity to thrive, the Society works without discrimination based on caste, creed, religion, or political affiliation.

Since its inception, the organization's mission has been to empower underprivileged children and women living in slums and marginalized communities, helping them discover their potential and build self-confidence and self-respect. Its work focuses particularly on street children, children of migrant labourers, garbage pickers, and families living in impoverished settlements.

Registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961, Stars Welfare Society was born in 2004 when Chia Hua Chung and Yasmin Naomi Chung witnessed the desperate need for education, care, guidance, and nourishment among the children of slum residents and factory workers. Determined to make a difference, they transformed an unused factory space into a safe and welcoming haven after the factory closed. What had once been a place of labour became a place of hope, where children could learn, play, receive nutritious meals, and dream of a brighter future.
